Take Command!: IXEG 737 Classic

With the new 1.0.1 update, I am now actually able to fly this plane (it crashed on me every single time version 1.0), and that has completely changed my tune.

I am now thoroughly convinced that once all the bugs are ironed out, that this will probably be one of the best aircraft, for any simulation, ever.

There are still some problems with it, don't get me wrong. As an example, the FMC still tends to cause soft crashes quite a bit, even during routine use; not nearly as much as before, but enough that it is awfully annoying. It is a glaring deficiency in this plane, and needs some serious attention. But, as long as they iron out these problems over the course of the next few updates, it should be alright.

Another problem is that it isn't exactly "feature complete". There are quite a few things missing from the plane, but the developers have been very up-front about the fact that it was going to be missing some items on initial release. Hopefully this gets resolved as well, but I don't imagine there will be any rush on this given the number of functionality-related bugs that need to be addressed.

Now for the good: The sounds and textures are out of this world! It's literally like being in the actual aircraft. Honestly, the textures put PMDG to shame. And the little sounds you hear with every button push (like the rush of air when turning the packs on) is unbelievable! When you press the button to test the oxygen masks, the sound is so realistic, that I actually feel as though I just took a hit of O2. It's amazing.

The flight model and ground effect are modeled beautifully, and the aircraft handles so well that hand-flying it feels natural right out of the box.

It's a good buy at this point, and once they refine it, it will be an absolute must-buy!
